Senior Help Desk Support Technician

 

Job Profile

  • Regular maintenance of Microsoft Based servers including 2003, 2008 and 2012 servers
  • Performing general desktop maintenance like virus scanning, defragmentation etc. in Windows 7, XP  and Windows 8 environment
  • Ocassional setup and maintenance of Hardware based Firewall and VPN
  • Answering support related emails and phone-calls for clients
  • Setting up Software and hardware deployment
  • Setting up Remote Desktop via RDP and other medium

Basic Requirements/Qualification

Network Administration:

  • Good knowledge of managing and working in Microsoft Server environments include MS Server 2003, 2008 and 2012;
  • Should be able to deploy and maintain Active Directory, DNS and DHCP servers,
  • Working knowledge of Backups, Firewalls, and VPN; Any direct experience in these is a Plus

Soft Skills:

  • Should be a natural problem solver with great work ethic
  • Should be flexible with evolving needs in network administration
  • Self-starter with minimal oversight

Education/Experience:

  • Diploma/BE in Computers or related technical field, May consider equivalent Bachelor degree in other streams
  • MCP and/or Cisco certified a plus
  • Minimum 1 year experience in relevant field
